As a service provided by a registered clinical psychologist, we follow the relevant health policy to ensure our client’s privacy and confidentiality through social media. Our social media guidelines are as follows:

We periodically post information relevant to our service on our facebook page. This may cover parenting, caring for a baby, and the emotional and psychological wellbeing of families with young children. These resources may be posts and articles shared by other Facebook pages or external websites, as well as information about services provided by Blue Oak Psychology. These resources are general in nature only and do not replace personal psychological services provided by us.

Please be mindful that liking or following our page on Facebook can be visible to public, your friends and family members. This is especially relevant for past and current clients in terms of your privacy and confidentiality. We will not share any information about our clients on this website or at our Facebook page.

Professional psychological service providers are prohibited to solicit testimonials by both the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Hence, liking or following our page is not a request for your endorsement of our service.

We do not accept friend or contact requests from current or former clients on any social networking site (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.). This is to ensure client confidentiality as well as therapeutic boundaries, which are a necessary requirement for providing professional psychological services.

If you have any queries regarding these guidelines, please contact us via email: blueoak.psychology@gmail.com.
